Have taught Self-Contained US/VA Government (12th grade), as well as
Basic Skills (9-12) and World History (10th grade). As an LD teacher,
I have also served annually as a case manager for up to 15 students, writing
and conducting IEP meetings and serving as a liaison between the students
and their other teachers.

Head Coach, Cross Country/Winter & Spring Track & Field 2000-Present
I have served as Head Coach for all three seasons since fall, 2002.
(I was assistant distance coach from Fall 2000-Spring 2002).
As such, I am responsible for training the athletes (distance
runners are my direct specialty), coordinating staff, scheduling,
communicating with school, parents & community, fundraising,
maintaining of website and all records, and coordinating competitions.
I have also served as meet director, including a 35-team invitational
(Cassel’s XBC Track Classic) started in April, 2006.
Northern Virginia Cross Country/Track & Field Coaches Association
Active Recording Secretary, Coaches Association 2003-Present
Having been an active member of the Association since 1999,
I have been the recording secretary since 2003. I have been elected
twice, for two-year terms. As such, I recorded the minutes from
monthly meetings, and send out a report to the association members.
I also maintain a performance list for Northern Virginia for the spring
track season, published weekly, and distributed to all members (since 1999).
I am also active in all other functions of the association to promote the
sport, and support the coaches in the region.
